The NauticEd On-the-Water Rank Assessment is designed for sailors who have completed all required NauticEd online coursework and want to test their skills under real-world sailing conditions. This assessment evaluates your ability to perform the maneuvers and competencies outlined in the NauticEd rubrics.
During the session, you’ll be observed and assessed on boat handling, sail trim, navigation, safety procedures, and other required skills. All on-the-water practice must be completed prior to the assessment—this day is strictly for demonstrating your abilities, not learning new skills.
Please note: the assessment does not include the cost of NauticEd online courses. Certification is awarded only if you successfully demonstrate mastery of all required rubrics.
