Learn to sail in austin, on lake travis
Build Real Skills. Gain Real Confidence. Sail for Real.
Learning to sail isn’t about memorizing terms or watching from the sidelines.
It’s about time on the water, hands on the lines, and understanding how a boat actually moves and responds.
My one-day private sailing training on Lake Travis is a hands-on, skills-forward experience designed for beginners and developing sailors who want focused, personalized instruction.
Whether you’re brand new or ready to move beyond casual outings, this day meets you exactly where you are—and builds from there.
What This Program Is
This is instructional sailing. Not a boat ride.
From the moment we leave the dock, you’re actively participating—steering, trimming sails, handling lines, and learning how to think like a sailor.
Because this is a single full day of training, what we cover depends on where you are in your sailing journey. A true beginner will focus on foundational boat handling and sail awareness. A more experienced sailor might dial in docking technique, sail trim refinement, or confidence in stronger wind.
The goal isn’t to rush through a checklist.
It’s to build skill that actually sticks.

Important: What One Day Can (and Can’t) Do
A single day can absolutely build clarity, confidence, and strong fundamentals.
But sailing mastery happens over time.
If you’re looking for deeper progression and skill layering, I offer a 4-Day Private Coaching Series—my most popular option—where you receive four full days of training for the price of three. Those days can be scheduled over the course of a year, allowing you to practice, return, refine, and grow steadily.
That’s where real transformation happens.
Please note: this session and instruction does not include the cost of any NauticEd online courses (optional)
