My Story
Adventure has always called to me. Whether it was traveling, diving, rock climbing, kayaking, motorcycling, or sailing a 17-foot day sailer along the Florida Gulf Coast, I’ve always found energy and inspiration outdoors. For many years, that spirit of exploration ran alongside a fulfilling career in the medical and medical device field, where I led teams and loved the work—but eventually, I knew it was time for a change. I’d spent enough time in corporate settings helping others reach their goals, and I was ready to pursue some of my own.
Sailing found its way back into my life in a big way just a few months after I stepped away from the corporate world—thanks to the generosity of a friend and the captain of a beautiful 76ft monohull. We set off through the Leeward Islands, and that trip changed everything. I hadn’t realized how much I missed being on the water until I was back at the helm. It felt like a homecoming—and it completely shifted my course.

My Passion Keeps Growing
Since then, sailing has become a huge part of my life. I’ve had the chance to explore amazing places like the Chesapeake Bay, Florida, the Leeward and Windward Islands, the BVI, Greece, California, Baja, and more—sailing with friends, crewing on a few deliveries, and skippering all kinds of boats. I’ve also focused on growing my skills along the way, learning from some incredible captains, instructors, and fellow sailors.

Just a few years ago, skippering a yacht felt totally out of reach—now, it’s one of my favorite things to do.
I’ve always loved teaching, especially that awesome moment when something just clicks for someone. Getting into sailing instruction has been the perfect way to combine my love for the sport with helping others grow. There’s nothing better than sharing knowledge and watching someone discover what they’re truly capable of.
This journey has brought so much joy—new friendships, unforgettable places, and a deep sense of confidence and freedom. There’s still so much to explore and learn, and I’m excited for every bit of it—especially being part of a community of strong, skilled, and welcoming women who inspire me every time we set sail.
